What exactly is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the ONLY FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. With electrolysis, each hair is treated and removed individually. Our devices treat and destroy the hair follicle with the use of heat and energy. This not only destroys the follicle at its root, it also spreads to kill the surrounding stem cells which would have made the next generation of hair.
How does it work?
A very fine hair like probe is inserted into the hair follicle, heat is applied and the hair is extracted with tweezers.
What areas can be worked on/treated?
We treat any hair, anywhere. And unlike other forms of hair removal, electrolysis is effective for any skin type, hair type, skin color, hair color and gender.
What are the common side effects?
Immediately following treatment, there may be temporary and minimal swelling, redness, tenderness and scabbing. Your electrologist will provide you with post treatment instructions and any personal attention you may need.
How long does it take?
The frequency and longevity of treatments are determined by your body’s natural hair growth cycles and therefore not predetermined. Please keep in mind ONLY ACTIVELY growing hairs and follicles can be treated by electrologist and multiple sessions will be necessary.
